Riverfront Park

A New Park Located on the Pearl River that Connects Downtown Jackson to the Waterfront

Great City Mississippi Foundation is working with a landscape architecture and urban planning team to develop a vision for a 150 acre park on the Pearl River. The site is critical to connecting Downtown Jackson to the river because it is the only location in Downtown not divided by Interstate 55. The current masterplan is being refined, but the site elements will include a large outdoor grass amphitheater, passive recreation spaces, several miles of multi-use trails, wetland observation spaces, new constructed wetlands, and accessible parking areas.
